It’s time we had another bank holiday. We’re going through a lovely stretch of the year at the moment, when every few weeks we’re pleasantly surprised by a day off, but this won’t be the case this autumn, when we have 16 (count ‘em) weeks without a break til Xmas. Last time we got new bank holidays was because of a union campaign, and they’re at it again - help choose a day to be made into a UK bank holiday (no promises though).
